At FTE Global in Las Vegas we spoke with Syed Mehdi, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer – San Antonio Airport System. He told us that they are democratising innovation within San Antonio Airport with their “solution box” programme, where airport employees come up with new solutions to problems that they are encountering in their jobs. We also discussed trends such as passengers’ reliance on their mobile phones, digital transformation, non-aeronautical revenues and his vision for the future of travel through his airport.
