This partnership brings cutting-edge accessibility tools to Fiumicino’s blind and low-vision passengers, ensuring a more inclusive and seamless travel experience. ADR, committed to innovation and accessibility, is integrating Be My Eyes’ Service Connect™ platform into its services. Service Connect™ combines advanced AI with dedicated service agents, allowing visually impaired travellers to access real-time assistance through the Be My Eyes app. Whether navigating terminals, accessing flight information, or locating services, passengers can receive immediate, tailored support.
Mike Buckley, CEO of Be My Eyes, said, “Travel should be accessible to everyone, and our partnership with Aeroporti di Roma brings us closer to that goal. By integrating AI-powered tools and human support, we’re ensuring blind and low-vision travellers can navigate the airport with greater ease and confidence.”
Marina Maschio, Managing Director of ADR Assistance, added, “We take great pride in being a leader in accessibility and innovation. Partnering with Be My Eyes allows us to further enhance the experience for our blind and visually impaired passengers, ensuring they receive the same level of service and care that every traveller deserves at Fiumicino and Ciampino airports, both of which were the only airports in Italy to receive the ACI World’s Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation.”
This initiative marks a significant step toward making global travel more inclusive, setting a new standard for accessibility in aviation and reinforcing ADR’s position as an industry leader in passenger experience and innovation.
