The “pentagon balance” in security operations at Prague Airport

International Airport Review spoke with Security Technologies Team Leader at Prague Airport, Lukas Popek.

Lukas talked us through some of the security philosophy at the airport, including the ‘pentagon balance’. This assesses security at five levels; security level; operational efficiency; passenger experience; staff experience and cost. He also told us about Prague Airport’s aims of being an ‘industrial dishwasher’ with security. This refers to being as stringent and detail-orientated with hygiene and dirt.
