We caught up with Dmitry Martynenko, Commercial Director at Air Marakanda, to speak about the first few months of operations at the new terminal and their ambitions to increase the number of destinations served from five in 2019, to 30 by 2030.

At the Routes Asia 2023 conference in Thailand, we caught up with Dmitry Martynenko, Commercial Director at Air Marakanda.

Air Marakanda is the operator of the brand new expanded and redeveloped terminal at Samarkand International Airport in Uzbekistan. In this exclusive interview we spoke about how the first months of operations at the new terminal have been, their ambitions to increase the number of destinations served from five in 2019, to 30 by 2030.

Dmitry went on to speak about the experience that travellers receive when travelling through the airport, the sustainability milestones being achieved, his business outlook for the year ahead and his challenges.
