At Passenger Terminal Expo 2022 in Paris, we caught up with Mats Berglind, Innovation Manager at Swedavia AB. We asked him “What do you think is the number one trend to watch in air travel this year?” Broadly speaking, Mats said queue management was the number one trend for airports, based on recent world events, but cited off-airport or near-airport services such as baggage handling and check-in, which is very exciting and something Mats and his team at Swedavia are currently looking into at the moment.
