JFKIAT has donated $30K to support Razom for Ukraine, a non-profit organisation driven by a mission to help Ukraine pursue a democratic society that supports civil rights for all.

JFKIAT, the operator of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), has donated $30K to support Razom for Ukraine, a non-profit organisation driven by a mission to help Ukraine pursue a democratic society that supports civil rights for all. On 12 July 2022, JFKIAT presented the donation to Razom for Ukraine.

Throughout March and April 2022, funds collected through Terminal 4’s coin collection programme were matched by JFKIAT and donated to support the organisation’s mission. Coin collection boxes placed throughout Terminal 4 provided passengers and terminal employees with an opportunity to donate, along with additional information on how to support Razom for Ukraine’s efforts.

“We are devastated by this war and the detrimental impact it has been having on millions of people in Ukraine,” said Roel Huinink, President and CEO of JFKIAT. “We stand with the people of Ukraine, and we hope this donation will help to provide relief and support.”

“An enormous thank you goes out to all of our donors, large and small, and especially to the JFKIAT team, for supporting Razom’s work and allowing our projects to scale with greater impact,” said Dora Chomiak, President of Razom for Ukraine. “Know that you are part of a community of people from all over the world who have stepped up to the challenge and are helping Ukraine in incredible ways, using the tools, resources, time, and skills that they have to fundraise for Razom and support Ukraine. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

JFKIAT’s corporate giving program, 4GOOD, seeks to serve local institutions through philanthropic and sustainable actions to make a positive impact on the community. Aimed at promoting educational, social, and professional success, the 4GOOD program consists of two components: Community (Corporate Philanthropy) and Sustainability (Environment). Corporate resources include financial contributions, charitable giving, employee volunteering and community outreach.

Since JFKIAT launched 4GOOD in 2016, the company has distributed approximately $100,000 annually in funds for charities, organised events at Terminal 4, and worked closely with several organisations in Queens. In 2021, JFKIAT and its partners raised $230,000 through 4GOOD to aid the Queens community as it continued to rebuild following the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, donating critical funds to local nonprofit organisations that provide community support, local business support, and education.
