At Bristol Airport, we continually focus on transforming the customer experience, from the minute passengers begin their journey to us, to the moment they depart.

Not only are we the only UK airport to grow year-on-year for the past 10 years, we’ve also ranked in the top 3 airports in Europe for overall customer satisfaction.

Each year we’re achieving a new high in passenger numbers as a result of our growing route network, with 9 new routes bringing our total number of destinations to 130.

Our vision of becoming a world leading regional airport has seen us invest heavily in our infrastructure – this includes our new Security Search Facility, enlarged Immigration Hall, extended car park facilities and increased public transport links. We’re also the first in the UK and Europe to install Standard 3 Hold Baggage Screening Machines.

Each of these elements has helped to improve the all-round speed, quality and efficiency of our passenger services.

Our newly extended departure lounge and arrivals area provides greater choice to passengers from a retail and catering perspective. This was promoted by our “#Now at Bristol Airport” social media campaign, which also helped us to win this year’s Best Use of Facebook in the global Moodies Award.

Our airport is one of only four airports in the UK to be named autism friendly due to our continuous investment in staff, specialist equipment and our ‘Changing Places’ facility.

Reducing our environmental impact is a big focus point for us. In 2017, we achieved a Level 1 Airport Carbon Accreditation. This year we have achieved Level 2 and by 2030, we aim to be completely carbon neutral.

As we continue looking to the future, we recently completed the first phase of consultation of our Master Plan – seeking ideas and opinions from stakeholders to help shape our future developments.

This year, we’re investing a further £45 million on various aspects of our terminal, airfield and carparks as well as staffing and recruitment, enabling us to continue delivering on our brand promise, ‘Amazing Journeys Start Here’.
