Which are the new categories?

New categories for 2025 include the Airport Leader of the Year Award and the Baggage Innovation Award, and the Airport of the Year Award.

The Airport Leader of the Year Award honours exceptional leaders who are steering their teams through the evolving landscape of air travel with vision, resilience, and innovation. It celebrates individuals who effectively navigate challenges, inspire excellence, and drive transformative progress within their organisations.

The Baggage Innovation Award recognises airports that have driven baggage transformation through leveraging technology, data and innovation.

Finally, the Airport of the Year is the most coveted prize of all. It celebrates the “all-rounder” airport that has achieved excellence in all areas of accessibility, baggage, security, EDI, passenger experience, innovation and sustainability. Therefore, the winner will be the airport who receives the highest score across the above categories,
