Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG)
The airport has been awarded five-star status once again, and ranks among the top airports in the world.
Cirium found that Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport came out on top in multiple categories, followed by Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.
The route comes as passenger numbers on Chinese routes from Gatwick grew by 54.3 per cent and it will provide over 3,700 tonnes of cargo capacity in both directions and over 70,000 seats per year.
