Airports Council International for Latin America and the Caribbean has recognised 52 airports for their continued sustainable efforts, as part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme.

Airports Council International for Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) is pleased to reach 52 airports accredited in the ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) programme.
The ACA programme is the only airport-specific carbon management certification that independently evaluates and recognises airports’ efforts to manage and reduce their carbon emissions. The programme has six levels of certification: ‘Mapping’, ‘Reduction‘, ‘Optimisation’, ‘Neutrality’, ‘Transformation’, and ‘Transition’ that seeks to recognise the efforts of airports that are at different stages in their journey towards comprehensive management of their carbon emissions.
The most recent additions to the list of environmentally responsible airports are Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico’s Morelia and Manzanillo International Airports, which with these two airports, have accredited the group’s 12 airports in Mexico.
Aimé Césaire International Airport (FDF) in Martinique, which recently joined the ‘Mapping’ level, was the 50th airport in the region in the ACA programme.
