As part of their focus on providing the highest standards of service, reliability and safety, Caribbean Airlines has acquired Ultra’s comprehensive baggage management solution, UltraTRAK, for their entire network operation.
Enhancing baggage operations by tracking a bag’s progress throughout its entire journey, UltraTRAK also provides a positive match between loaded bags and boarded passengers, ensuring that only authorised bags can travel. As well as significantly reducing pushback delays, UltraTRAK’s sophisticated transfer bag handling has the capability to reduce mishandled baggage across the Caribbean Airlines network.
“Ultra’s Baggage Management solution will allow us to view, in real-time, a passenger’s bag from the moment they check in to the moment it arrives at its destination,” said Interim CEO, Tyron Tang.
“It will also prevent fraudulent luggage from entering an aircraft, further emphasising our commitment to passenger safety and satisfaction.”
Paul Drury, Ultra’s VP Americas said: “This contract further extends Ultra’s already well-established Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, guaranteeing that Caribbean Airlines will have access to the latest baggage management innovations, such as adherence to IATA Tracking Resolution 753“.
The system will be rolled out to all of Caribbean Airline’s stations, including their main bases in Trinidad and Tobago, with completion expected in early 2017.
