Recorded figures in May suggest another record for the total number of people travelling through MCO during a 12-month period, rising to nearly 40.5 million.

Long term carrier commitments to Orlando International and Central Florida were reflected in May as a number of airlines celebrated service anniversaries at MCO. Virgin Atlantic celebrated 24 years of service at Orlando International, Alaska Airlines celebrated 13 years and Norwegian 2 years.

Contributing to the healthy May numbers was a 168 thousand seat increase in capacity by the airlines and a number of sizable conventions in the region.
