The National Emergency Operations Committee has approved for the increase of capacity from 50 per cent to 100 per cent in pre-boarding and arrival areas of airports in Ecuador.
Quito Airport has renewed two of its major Airports Council International awards in 2021 for its efforts towards passenger health, safety and satisfaction during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The remodelled areas evoke a greater sense of identity and belonging to the city of Quito, whilst also providing greater comfort to the airport's passengers.
Airports are accredited on customer understanding, strategy, measurement, operational improvement, governance, airport culture, service design/innovation, and airport community collaboration.
Corporación Quiport, the concessionaire of Quito's airport services, has announced an expansion and improvement plan at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport which will take place between 2017 and 2020.
