The Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) and the International Centre for Aviation Innovation (ICAI) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to strengthen collaboration on innovative air traffic management solutions. Signed on 16 July in Singapore by Simon Hocquard and Patrick Ky, the agreement promotes joint activities, information sharing and best practice advocacy at regional and global levels.
Strengthening global innovation in air traffic management through new strategic partnership
During his visit, Hocquard received an in-depth briefing on ICAI’s ongoing developmental work and areas of research aimed at enhancing the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of global aviation.
“This partnership with ICAI reflects CANSO’s commitment to innovation through collaboration,” said Simon Hocquard, CANSO President and CEO. “Together, we can explore new frontiers in air traffic management and deliver practical solutions that benefit the entire aviation ecosystem.”
Patrick Ky, ICAI CEO, added, “ICAI is proud to work alongside CANSO in shaping the future of ATM. This agreement lays the foundation for meaningful cooperation, grounded in innovation and shared ambition – reflecting ICAI’s commitment to fostering international partnerships that drive region-wide progress and lasting impact”.
The partnership signals a shared intent to align efforts in research, technology development, and knowledge exchange, with a focus on supporting the aviation industry’s evolution in an increasingly complex and dynamic environment.
