Belgrade Airport, which has been part of the VINCI Airports network since the end of 2018, welcomed its seven millionth passenger for the year 2023, which constitutes a record result, exceeding the number of passengers in 2019. The passenger travelled from Lisbon in Portugal, another airport operated by VINCI Airports teams.
In Belgrade, VINCI Airports continues the modernisation of the airport with major improvements, such as the new large central area of the terminal, a new and second runway in operation while the main runway is being reconstructed, as well as a new offer parking and access to the terminal, including a new Kiss and Fly area for short stays.
The completion of all modernisation works is expected by the summer season of 2024. They will allow Belgrade Airport to reach a total capacity of 15 million passengers per year by the end of the concession and to be a real hub for all of Eastern Europe.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome more than 7 million passengers this year, especially as we surpassed the pre-pandemic record of 6.2 million passengers in 2019. This result was largely contributed by Air Serbia, which also recorded a record number of passengers this year and new routes, as well as significant traffic from other partner airlines. The dynamic resumption of traffic and the works of expansion, modernisation and increase of capacity show that we are on the right track to make our airport a key hub in our region,” said Francois Berisot, director of Belgrade Airport.
