At Vanderlande we are constantly rethinking and further improving the design of our solutions for logistic process automation, to increase your operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption, environmental impact and costs.

For the HELIXOTER, the Vanderlande tilt tray sorter for baggage, this resulted in a design with electrically powered discharge and further improvements to increase sorting accuracy and reduce maintenance for even higher availability.

Robust construction

The HELIXORTER has been designed specifically to withstand the stresses of baggage handling operations, day in day out. The result is trouble-free operation and low maintenance requirements for absolute minimum downtime.

Closed deck

The HELIXORTER is the only system of its kind that offers a highly robust, integrated closed deck with no additional deck covers, ensuring excellent conveyability. This unique, patented design prevents the problems experienced with conventional tilt tray sorters in which irregular or smaller baggage items can become trapped in open parts of the system, especially in curves and during tilting. These problems frequently cause damage to property and delays in system operation. In combination with sophisticated controls, the closed deck construction also ensures reliable, jam-free induction.
