Bristol Airport has chosen to implement a proof of concept of the Concessionaire Analyzer+ (CA+) software solution that will enable them to improve the management and analysis of their concession-based commercial business, allowing them to maximise on their non-aeronautical revenues.

For the POC, CA+ will be installed as a cloud based hosted and managed solution, managing a limited number of concessions.

The sales data collection process will be fully automated utilising a number of different methods available within the CA+ solution, and more importantly, allowing concessionaires to continue to use their existing systems without interruption or change.

CA+ will also provide facilities for the management of concession contracts including those with revenue shares, minimum guarantees and services.

The CA+ Business Intelligence (BI) module will then allow the Bristol Airport commercial team to obtain better insights on sales and revenue patterns, and work with their concessionaires to improve performance.

CA+ will provide an overall improvement in the commercial management of the airport, enabling more efficient automation of sales data collection, contract management and analysis, replacing much of the spreadsheet and manual input of data that today dominates most airport commercial teams, while also collecting more detailed data.

John de Giorgio, the CEO of CA Plus Limited, commented that “the CA+ team are looking forward to be working with Bristol, one of the UK’s most successful and fastest growing airports. Bristol’s interest reinforces the importance that airports all over are giving to the non-aeronautical sector to provide significant revenue for more airport investment.”

Bristol Airport was ranked as the ninth busiest airport in the UK in 2016, handling a record-breaking 7.5 million passengers, a 12% increase compared to the previous year. Development plans are currently in place to increase the airport’s capacity to 10 million passengers a year. Bristol Airport also ranked highly in the ASQ Customer Satisfaction Survey run by the ACI, holding on to its position at number one for the last 2 quarters of 2016.

Tom Hack, Head of Commercial at Bristol Airport said, “By working with CA+ we hope to automate some of the processes behind our retail operation. We are continually looking at ways to improve the way we manage our concessions to deliver the products and services that our customers want, and are looking forward to achieving positive results with CA+.”

CA Plus Ltd will next be showcasing their solution at Passenger Terminal Expo in Amsterdam from the 14th till the 16th March 2017. Airports are welcome to discuss improving their non-aeronautical revenues, or get in touch prior to the event for an online demo by emailing [email protected].
