Heathrow Airport has renamed Terminal 4 as ‘Terminal Paw’ to celebrate the return of its beloved bears, Doris and Edward, in a heartwarming new advert.
London Heathrow Airport (LHR) has announced the return of its much-loved bears, Doris and Edward Bair, in a new advert launching on 24 October. To celebrate their comeback, the airport has temporarily renamed Terminal 4 as ‘Terminal Paw’, with new signage marking the occasion.
First introduced in Heathrow’s 2016 Christmas campaign, Doris and Edward became household names with their heartwarming stories of travel, reunion and adventure. After a seven-year break, the famous bears are back on screens in a new film that follows them on another journey through the airport.

The advert captures the couple as they explore Heathrow before setting off on a new overseas trip. From the airport’s unique Pod Parking to its busy boarding gates, viewers see the pair enjoying familiar pre-flight moments. The story highlights the joy of travel and the excitement that begins long before take-off.
In the film, Doris and Edward are seen navigating everyday airport experiences, from attaching a stubborn luggage tag at self-service bag drop to trying out perfumes in World Duty Free. Their playful journey is a reminder that Heathrow is more than just an airport. It is a place where meaningful journeys and special memories begin.
From January 2026, passengers will be able to take home their own Doris and Edward Bair, available for purchase exclusively at Heathrow. The airport’s shops already sell more than 82,000 teddy bears each year, averaging over 220 a day. Summer months are particularly popular, with July and August seeing the highest number of toy and bear sales as travellers pick up cuddly companions for their holidays.
Among the most sought-after toys at Heathrow are Harrods bears, London-themed soft toys and the ever-iconic Paddington Bear and his merchandise. The introduction of the exclusive Doris and Edward Bair collection is expected to become a new favourite among passengers.
Ross Baker, Chief Commercial Officer at Heathrow, said: “We are excited to welcome Doris and Edward back to Heathrow. They hold a very special place in our passengers’ hearts, and their story embodies the spirit of travel – full of love, laughter and a little bit of mischief. Their return is a reminder that Heathrow is more than just an airport. It’s a place where millions of meaningful journeys begin every year.”
Since their first appearance in 2016, Doris and Edward’s story has been viewed millions of times worldwide, becoming a symbol of Heathrow’s role in bringing people together. Their return continues that legacy, reminding travellers that the best trips start at Heathrow.
The new advert has been a passion project for everyone involved, from the initial storyboarding stages to the detailed 3D animation that brought the bears back to life. Filmed in Terminals 2 and 5, the production used stand-in bears on set for visual reference and features Heathrow colleagues appearing as fellow passengers.
Set to a tender rendition of It Must Be Love, performed by British singer-songwriter Maius Mollis, the film blends nostalgia and charm in a celebration of shared travel experiences and the small, joyful moments that make every journey special.
