ACI-LAC discuss environmental management and airport operations

At the ACI World General Assembly, Conference, and Exhibition 2021, the board of directors meeting of Airports Council International Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) was held on 22 November 2021, with the support of the sponsor Munich Airport International (MUC). The meeting addressed critical issues for the association in the framework of environmental management and airport operations.

The meeting was attended by Fabio Rabanni, Director General for South America of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Juan Fernando Arteaga, Vice Minister of Transport Services and Public Works of Ecuador, and Victor Pichardo, President of the Airport Department of the Dominican Republic.

Andrew O’Brian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACI-LAC said: “It was a very fruitful morning with a very active participation of all those present. In particular, we discussed the importance of airport sustainability and the need to take concrete actions to demonstrate our industry’s commitment to the environment. In addition, we reinforced the commitment to work together with ICAO for the benefit of regional airports. We are impressed with the presence of regional authorities at our event as co-operation and co-ordination are essential for the recovery of our industry. We are grateful for the hospitality of our Mexican hosts who, as always, make us feel at home”.
