The Aena airport network has closed August 2022 with 27,301,674 passengers, which is 7.4 per cent shy of pre-pandemic levels.

Airside operations cover a vast range of procedures, including but not limited to the management of aircraft movements, foreign object debris (FOD) detection, wildlife management, the handling of weather implications, evaluating law enforcement, ARFF, air traffic control, and incident responses.
