The Polish aviation sector is experiencing the best moment in its history – and that is no exaggeration. On one hand, we are seeing a record pace of passenger traffic growth; on the other, an unprecedented scale of investment in airport infrastructure. This level of acceleration has never been seen before.

Poland is becoming one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in Europe.

According to the latest ACI Europe data, in the first quarter of 2025 Polish airports handled as much as 15.4% more passengers than the previous year. That’s more than three times the average growth rate in the European Union (4.3%). Poland has not only made up for the losses caused by the pandemic – we are now outpacing Europe, growing faster and stronger.

And that’s not all. The data on air connectivity – the real availability of connections within the aviation network – is even more telling. While many countries are still making up ground and remain 8% below 2019 levels, Poland is already ahead: 1% above pre-pandemic, and a remarkable 10% higher than a year ago. We have more connections, more options, and more destinations, across the entire system, from our main hub at Warsaw Chopin Airport to regional airports.

What’s more, we are turning this demand into future success: over EUR 11.1 billion invested in airport infrastructure – the largest programme of its kind in Poland’s history. This includes:

  • €9.6 billion for the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (Central Transport Hub) – a strategic hub that will further strengthen our position in Europe.
  • Approximately €1.8 billion to expand the capacity of Warsaw Chopin Airport and invest in regional airports.

Polish Airports (PPL), as a capital group uniting 19 entities – including stakes in 12 of Poland’s 15 airports – and as both investor and future operator of the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny, plays a crucial role in this process.

Poland is becoming one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in Europe – not just in terms of statistics. This is the result of a clear strategy, major investment and the trust of both passengers and airlines. And this is only the beginning.
