Tallinn Airport (TLL) has launched a series of sporty new features aimed at keeping travellers active, entertained, and engaged while waiting for their flights. Recognised for seven years running with the ASQ (Airport Service Quality) Award by ACI World in the 2–5 million passenger category, Estonia’s main air hub continues to set the standard for passenger experience.

Details on Tallinn Airport enhancing passenger experience

“At Tallinn Airport, we have collaborated with various companies to brand different gates, creating a playful and cosy atmosphere that goes beyond typical airport gates,” said Riivo Tuvike, Chairman of the Management Board of Tallinn Airport. “This unique approach not only offers variety for frequent travellers but also provides our partners with distinctive branding opportunities, generating additional advertising revenue for the airport.”

In March, the airport opened a free-to-use fitness centre at Gate 7 in partnership with local gym chain MyFitness. Equipped with cardio machines, treadmills, yoga space and back benches, the gym caters to all fitness levels, helping passengers stay energised on the go.

“Exercise is important, and we are thrilled to offer travellers the opportunity to work out before their flights in collaboration with MyFitness,” Tuvike added. “Additionally, our airport cafés provide a variety of healthy food options and heartier meals for those looking to refuel after their workout.”

As Tallinn celebrates its role as European Capital of Sport in 2025, Gate 9 has been transformed into a hub of interactive fun, with ping-pong, checkers, hopscotch, and fitness machines like bike and ski trainers. Travellers can also enjoy live broadcasts of major international sporting events.

In collaboration with the Estonian Sports and Olympic Museum, Tallinn Airport has also launched a Paralympics-themed gate. This interactive exhibit showcases parasports and specialised equipment, giving passengers a chance to learn about the achievements of athletes with disabilities.

From fitness to education, Tallinn Airport is transforming travel into an engaging experience – all while remaining one of the world’s cosiest airports.
