London Luton Airport selects Lagardère travel retail for expanded duty free stores from 2026

London Luton Airport (LLA) has confirmed the selection of Lagardère Travel Retail to operate duty free stores at the airport under a 10-year contract, which will begin on 1 November 2026. The agreement follows a comprehensive tender process and will see a significant expansion of duty free retail space across the terminal, increasing from 2,530m² to 3,340m², enhancing the shopping experience for passengers.

The main duty free store in departures will grow by over 40%, from 1,870m² to 2,680m², and the concession will also include a secondary store in departures and a store in arrivals. Aligned with LLA’s vision to offer an immersive and enjoyable shopping experience, the main store will undergo a full redesign featuring a new Bottega Prosecco bar created specifically for the airport.

The concession will showcase a range of international brands alongside iconic British and local products, including Fortnum & Mason, Creed, Charlotte Tilbury and Cadbury. A dedicated area for sustainable products will also be included, raising the standard for duty free retail at LLA.

Throughout this period, Lagardère Travel Retail has demonstrated its strategic credentials, offering even greater choice through the introduction of exciting luxury and affordable international brands, whilst delivering gold standard service based on strong experiential and promotional engagement.
