Passenger traffic across European airports is nearly restored to pre-pandemic levels due to a rise in international and domestic travel. European airport trade body, ACI EUROPE, reported a 69% increase in January compared to the same month last year.
Since the lifting of COVID-19 pandemic-related travel restrictions and increase in travel demand, Frankfurt Airport has welcomed some 2.9 million passengers in March 2022.
Many Fraport’s Group airports worldwide have reported passenger traffic growth, but are expecting a slowdown for December 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
