Glasgow Airport has successfully completed a £3.7 million investment programme aimed at transforming the passenger experience through a series of upgrades to its dining, retail, and lounge facilities.
Delivered in partnership with leading hospitality and retail brands, the investment has introduced new restaurants, refreshed existing outlets, and enhanced the main departure lounge—offering travellers a more modern, comfortable, and diverse airport environment.
Key enhancements include:
- Sanford’s American Diner – Replacing the former Frankie & Benny’s, this new family-friendly venue serves classic American fare including milkshakes, pizza, chicken, waffles, and burgers.
- Primo Volo – A stylish Italian café bar located in the departure lounge, offering ciabatta sandwiches, pasta dishes, and Italian cocktails for passengers seeking a taste of Italy before take-off.
- Bird and Signet Bar & Kitchen – Upgraded with a refreshed interior and an improved menu to better serve departing travellers.
- Stack & Still – The popular pancake destination has been relocated for improved accessibility and convenience.
- Accessorize and Travelex – New retail units have opened, expanding the airport’s shopping options.
- Boots – A fully refurbished store now provides passengers with a comprehensive range of travel essentials.
Craig Norton, Head of Retail Development at Glasgow Airport, commented:
“We are delighted to announce the completion of this significant investment, which underlines our commitment to delivering an outstanding passenger experience at Glasgow Airport.
“The new restaurants and retail units, along with the upgraded facilities, ensure our passengers have access to modern, high-quality amenities throughout their journey.”
This investment forms part of Glasgow Airport’s broader development strategy, which includes ongoing upgrades to the terminal building, airfield infrastructure, and energy efficiency initiatives. These improvements are designed to support growing passenger demand and strengthen the airport’s position as a key transport hub for Scotland.
