Eindhoven Airport plans to increase capacity of its P3 car park to accommodate 1,957 cars, with work due to start in October 2026.

Eindhoven Airport is set to significantly expand and green parking lot P3 at the airport. An additional parking garage with a net capacity of 1,125 parking spaces will be added and among other things, 92 trees will be planted. The new parking structure will be built adjacent to the existing circular parking garage at P3. The new garage will be partially five stories high (like the existing parking garage) and partially seven stories high.
Eindhoven Airport will soon apply for the environmental permit from the municipality of Eindhoven.
Construction of the additional parking garage and the redesign of the ground level parking lot is expected to start in October 2026. A year later, the parking garage and the greener ground level parking lot will be completed.
Greening prominent in P3’s design
The additional parking garage will be adorned with wooden facade elements and greened with approximately 100 climbing plants. The existing parking garage will also be fitted with wooden facade elements to create more unity in the appearance of the buildings.
To improve the traffic structure, an additional ramp will be added, and the entrances to and from the garage will be moved from the centre of the site to the side.
The ground level parking lot will be redesigned and equipped with grass concrete tiles. This will make the site greener and better equipped to handle heat and extreme rainfall. Ninety-two trees, a water catchment area of nearly 450 square metres, hedges, climbing plants and perennials will be planted.
The ground level area will soon accommodate 277 parking spaces (including eight extra-large spaces for the disabled) and a lot of greenery. Twenty charging spots will also be added. The parking garage (existing and new combined) will soon accommodate 1,957 cars.
