Vision-Box, market leader of biometric recognition and automation for passenger handling, border control and digital identity management solutions, has officially celebrated the opening of its largest manufacturing and logistics operation facilities in Portugal. The new single-floor 8,000 square metre factory and warehouse space in Abóboda, Greater Lisbon, allows for manufacturing that will triple the company’s production capacity.

Miguel Leitmann, CEO, Vision-Box, said: “The opening of the Abóboda factory and warehouse facility serves the company’s growth by offering a large-scale modern manufacturing, coherent with the increasing global demand for seamless travel solutions and advanced ergonomics hardware which is one of our distinctive products’ signature.”

With airlines and airports spending over $50 billion in 2018 on IT solutions to improve passenger satisfaction levels, Vision-Box lands itself on the foreground for the manufacturing capacity of seamless experiences worldwide.

The Abóboda facility is designed to respond to the need for expansion and the company’s high growth. As an end-to-end solutions provider for passenger automation, facilitation and identification in over 80 international airports, Vision-Box is setting a larger production scale suitable to the increasing global demand for these systems.
