Dan Smiley, who he is replacing, has been asked to assist the FAA ATO in delivering NextGen related surface improvements. CANSO is very privileged to have benefited from Dan’s expertise and high level of professionalism and wishes him all the best for his new position.

David Maynard brings extensive knowledge and expertise in air traffic management (ATM) Operations. He started his career as a military air traffic controller before working for the FAA as a controller, supervisor and manager over his 30+ year career. More recently David worked as a manager for oceanic and offshore operations for the ATO where he interacted with ICAO and IATA on a regular basis.
