Texan airport Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS) have released their passenger and cargo numbers for the January-April period.

Texan Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) have released their passenger figures for April 2024, as well as for the January-April 2024 period. Passenger traffic growth for April 2024 was greater in comparison to April 2023, with 1,875,980 passengers, an increase of 1.65%.

April 2024

Passenger Activity:

Total passenger traffic for April 2024 was 1,875,980, up 1.65% compared to April 2023. April 2024 enplanements totalled 949,386, up 1.64%.

  • Southwest Airlines passengers totalled 803,775, up 12.9%
  • American Airlines passengers totalled 369,790, down 19%
  • Delta Air Lines passengers totalled 277,780, up 29.3%
  • United Airlines passengers totalled 210,231, up 4.7%
  • Alaska Airlines passengers totalled 66,849, down 9.5%
  • Spirit Airlines passengers totalled 30,235, down 57.5%
  • Allegiant Air passengers totalled 27,096, down 27.3%
  • JetBlue Airways passengers totalled 21,114, down 12.4%
  • British Airways passengers totalled 16,860, up 6.2%
  • Frontier Airlines passengers totalled 14,321, up 90.7%
  • Air Canada passengers totalled 6,995, up 77.2%
  • KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totalled 6,527, up 5.5%
  • Lufthansa passengers totaled 6,301, up 13.4%
  • Aeromexico passengers totalled 5,190, up 3.9%
  • Copa Airlines passengers totalled 4,771
  • Hawaiian Airlines passengers totalled 4,381, down 26.8%
  • Viva Aerobus passengers totalled 2,694
  • Sun Country Airlines passengers totalled 852, down 18.2%
  • WestJet passengers totalled 218.

April 2024 air cargo totalled 26,435,622 lbs., up 16.5% compared to April 2023. International air cargo totalled 3,799,219 lbs., up 29.91%. Air Transport International carried 8,025,456 lbs., up 80%; Federal Express carried 6,913,115 lbs., up 5.3%;United Parcel Services carried 2,345,909 lbs., down 14.7%; and Atlas Air carried 1,667,543 lbs., down 47.2%.

Air Services transferred 30,461 lbs. of mail, down 92.33%; and 3,540,027 lbs. of belly freight, up 29.29%.

Aircraft Operations:

General aviation operations totalled 3,860, down 10.11%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totalled 22,693, down 1.43%.

January – April 2024

Passenger Activity:

Total passenger traffic for January – April 2024 was 6,740,318, down 0.25% compared to January – April 2023. January – April 2024 enplanements totaled  3,353,597, down 0.30%.

  • Southwest Airlines passengers totalled 2,842,215, up 9%
  • American Airlines passengers totalled 1,441,912, down 14.8%
  • Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 903,064, up 19.2%
  • United Airlines passengers totalled 810,497, up 7%
  • Alaska Airlines passengers totalled 240,005, down 10.1%
  • Spirit Airlines passengers totalled 111,952, down 60.3%
  • Allegiant Air passengers totalled 87,080, down 22.4%
  • JetBlue Airways passengers totalled 79,957
  • British Airways passengers totalled 58,837, up 7.1%
  • Frontier Airlines passengers totalled 33,285, down 0.1%
  • Air Canada passengers totalled 23,330, up 53.8%
  • KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totalled 21,175, up 3.2%
  • Lufthansa passengers totalled 20,839, up 9.7%
  • Aeromexico passengers totalled 20,193, up 8.3%
  • Hawaiian Airlines passengers totalled 18,135, down 23.5%
  • Copa Airlines passengers totalled 17,901
  • Sun Country Airlines passengers totalled 4,800, up 121.2%
  • Viva Aerobus passengers totalled 3,702
  • Virgin Atlantic passengers totalled 1,136, down 91.9%

January – April 2024 air cargo totalled 98,876,973 lbs., up 0.92% compared to January – April 2023. International air cargo totalled 9,796,159 lbs., up 15.25%. Air Transport International carried 32,932,980 lbs., up 0.7%; Federal Express carried 25,688,077 lbs., down 5.1%; United Parcel Services carried 9,366,905 lbs., down 16.8%; Atlas Air carried 6,982,766 lbs., down 8.7%; and Sun Country Airlines carried 5,617,752 lbs., up 243.4%.

Air Services transferred 403,961 lbs. of mail, down 73.25%; and 12,943,689 lbs. of belly freight, up 5.97%.

Aircraft Operations:

General aviation operations totalled 14,385 for January – April 2024, down 12.77%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totalled 84,221, down 4.89%.
