SITA brings real world airport setting to ITE

ITE’s Passenger Services students will be trained using SITA’s departure control software, which is used to check-in and board millions of passengers at more than 70 international airports around the world. SITA brings its unique experience to ITE. Almost every airport and airline in the world does business with SITA and it has an unrivalled presence at more than 1,000 of the world’s airports. In addition to its world-class technology, SITA will provide extensive training and support services to ITE staff and lecturers.

Dr Ang Kiam Wee, Principal of ITE College Central, said: “SITA’s Maestro Local Departure Control System (LDCS) software is used in many international airports around the world.  Under this collaboration, the Maestro LDCS Software will be deployed at ITE College Central’s Aviation Gallery, enabling us to provide a truly relevant, authentic and engaging experience for students. It will allow hands-on learning in passenger handling and operations, enhance students’ knowledge and broaden their perspectives about the aviation industry. SITA’s commitment to provide train-the-trainer (TTT) opportunities for ITE staff will further increase our capacity to help our students graduate with the right skills and knowledge for the right job.”
