Following technical, commercial and financial studies, the Supervisory Board of Bordeaux Airport approved the proposed extension of its billi simplified services terminal during its last meeting on March 18. The aim is to support this segment of traffic which has been increasing rapidly since the opening of billi in 2010 (+227% in less than 4 years).
Low cost flights are the key drivers of airport growth. The governing body of the airport has thus decided to confirm this strategic choice, with a unanimous decision taken by all shareholders of the airport company.
Extension work on the terminal will start in autumn 2014, with the aim of achieving operational delivery in summer 2015.
