inter airport Europe 2013 opens its doors in Munich

Today, the world’s leading International Exhibition for Airport Equipment, Technology, Design & Services, inter airport Europe 2013, will open its doors at the Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany. From 8 – 11 October 2013, the exhibitors at inter airport Europe will showcase a large variety of new and enhanced products and services designed to improve the handling processes at airports and make airports more secure, more efficient and more environmental-friendly.

Airport industry professionals from all over the world will come together in Munich over the next four days to discover the latest airport equipment and services, whether for terminal, terminal-adjoining facilities, runway, apron or hangar. Visitors are specialists from airports, airlines, air cargo carriers and aviation support.

For this year’s inter airport Europe exhibitions organisers Mack Brooks Exhibitions, announce a record number of exhibitors and record floor space. A total of 640 exhibiting companies from 37 countries present their products on a total net exhibition space of 28,300 square metres. Compared to the previous show, this represents a 9% increase in floor space and a 5% growth in exhibitor numbers.

The opening and awards ceremony for inter airport Europe 2013 will take place today, Tuesday, 8 October 2013, at 11am, in the foyer of the East Entrance (Eingang Ost) of the Munich Trade Fair Centre. Dr. Michael Kerkloh, President and CEO Munich Airport; Olivier Jankovec, Director General ACI Europe and Stephen Brooks, Chairman Mack Brooks Exhibitions, will address the audience.

Once again inter airport Europe will acknowledge innovative exhibits in areas such as energy efficiency, intelligent passenger and freight handling, modern airports and environmental friendliness with the inter airport Europe 2013 Awards. Award winners have been selected by an international panel of industry experts. Prizes will be awarded during the opening and awards ceremony in the four exhibition categories: interRAMP (ground support equipment), interTERMINAL (technical terminal installations and services), interDATA (specialised hard and software) and interDESIGN (architecture and furnishings).

inter airport Europe 2013 takes place at the Munich Trade Fair Centre, occupying halls B5 and B6, directly connected to the spacious outdoor area for the presentation of large-scale exhibits such as de-icers, push-back tractors, snow sweepers and fire fighting vehicles. Entrance to the show will be the East entrance (Eingang Ost) of Munich Trade Fair Centre.

The venue is easily accessible by air, road and public transport. Shuttle buses will be running from Munich International Airport at regular short intervals throughout the duration of the exhibition.

inter airport Europe 2013 will be open from Tuesday, 8 October 2013, to Thursday, 10 October 2013, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Friday, 11 October 2013, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
