In total, 4,247,584 passengers travelled to or from one of Avinor’s airports during September. This is an increase of 3.2 per cent compared to last year. International traffic rose the most, by 8.4 per cent.

Domestic traffic grew by 0.2 per cent compared to September last year.

The number of aircraft movements declined by 0.9 per cent in September.

At Avinor’s largest airport, Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, the number of passengers increased by 3.4 per cent in September.

Among the major airports, growth was greatest at Stavanger Airport, Sola, where the total number of passengers rose by 5.8 per cent. Trondheim Airport, Værnes, was next with growth of 5.6 per cent, while Bergen Airport, Flesland, saw an increase of 1.6 per cent.

The national airports – Bodø, Tromsø, Kristiansand and Ålesund – recorded an increase of 0.1 per cent on average. Among these, the growth was greatest for Kristiansand Airport, Kjevik, with 7.2 per cent.

At the regional airports, growth averaged 3.6 per cent, and local airports saw an increase of 0.6 per cent.

So far this year 35,041,792 passengers have travelled to and from Avinor airports.
