The City of San Antonio Aviation Department has named Ellen Erenbaum as Assistant Aviation Director, who will join the Aviation Department management team on June 7, 2010. As an Assistant Aviation Director, Ms. Erenbaum will oversee the Finance and Administration Division.

Erenbaum is currently the Assistant Director of Finance for the Houston Airport System, and has over 25 years of experience in airport finance and administration. During her 11 years with the Houston Airport System she has been responsible for general accounting, to include a separate Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and development of the annual rates and charges reconciliation at both Houston Intercontinental (IAH) and Houston Hobby (HOU) Airports.

“Ms. Erenbaum’s leadership and extensive experience in the areas of airport finance and administration will make her a valuable asset to the Aviation Department,” said Frank R. Miller, Aviation Director.

She has been the lead for the Houston Airport System in issuing over $3.8 billion in general airport revenue bonds, special facility revenue bonds and commercial paper to support the capital improvement program. Ms. Erenbaum has represented business services and finance in negotiations of various use and lease agreements at both IAH and HOU, the international expansion program with Continental Airlines, special facility leases, and their consolidated rental car center. She has a BBA in Accounting and a MBA in Real Estate and Urban Affairs.
