October official figures have been published and the statistics show an important cargo traffic growth at Liege Airport.

In October 2011, 58,489.203 tons of goods were transported through Liege Airport compared to 56,856.902 tons in October 2010, which represents a 2.87% increase.

From January to October 2011, not less than 559,570.527 tons of goods were handled in Liege Airport. In 2010 during the same period, the airport counted 528,688.693 tons of cargo. These figures show an increase of 5.84% in one year.

The most significant growth has been reached in April 2011 with 53,782.741 tons of goods compared to 45,907.392 in April 2010.

Liege Airport is successfully forging ahead in its business while air traffic declines all over the world. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced global cargo volumes were 5-percent lower than those transported at the end of the first quarter of 2011.
