Northrop Grumman Corporation announced that its Europe-based air traffic management systems subsidiary, Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, has received two key supplier performance awards from Canada’s civil air navigation services provider, NAV CANADA. These were awarded to the company’s UK and Norway subsidiaries in recognition of their outstanding support to NAV CANADA’s operations and air traffic management systems during 2010. In the 10 years that NAV CANADA has been making these Supplier Excellence Awards, Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems has received a total of 11.

The awards are part of NAV CANADA’s Supplier Recognition Programme aimed at acknowledging a supplier’s outstanding support. From the 2,000 eligible supplier companies assessed, Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems UK and Norway won two of the nine Supplier Excellence Awards presented.

“For NAV CANADA to recognise us as a key supplier again this year is a truly outstanding achievement. I am very proud of the relationship we have developed over the years,” said Eldar Hauge, managing director of Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, Norway.

“These awards are a great acknowledgment of our customer service values and standards and we are very proud of receiving them again this year,” said Charles Houseago, managing director of Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, UK. “We look forward to working with NAV CANADA again throughout 2011.”

The elements assessed as part of the Supplier Performance Management Programme were: responsiveness, quality improvement, ease of use, reliability, technology and proficiency/skill set. Within the report NAV CANADA commented “Park Air Systems goes above and beyond,” “Second to none customer service” and “I have been dealing with Park Air Systems for approximately one year now and must state this is one of the best suppliers I have dealt with and am amazed at the care they provide to us as a customer.”
