“This reinforces our unanimous decision at our last board meeting to start planning for the South Terminal project.”

Growth at Orlando International Airport has been the result of greater seat availability with 4 percent more capacity from the airlines. Route expansion will continue the increase with a number of additional flights to South America including Brasilia, Brazil and Lima, Puru.

Orlando International predicts a continuation of strong figures during the summer period. It states that the airlines are planning to bring in nearly 4400 additional flights between June, July and August or about 887 thousand additional seats which is an 8 percent increase in seating availability over 2014.
