Bordeaux Airport has been singled out from among 137 other airports around Europe where easyJet operates, and has been awarded the Orange Spirit Award 2013 in the “Best Stopover” category.
The trophy was awarded by easyJet Chief Executive Carolyn Mc Call to Alix Vetter, the airline’s Station Manager for Bordeaux, at a gala evening organised on January 21st, in Brighton – England. It rewards Bordeaux Airport for its passenger and aircraft handling, especially in terms of punctuality.
easyJet is the second airline in Bordeaux with over a million passengers expected in 2014, all passing through the billi terminal, and now with 14 domestic and international destinations from Bordeaux: Basel-Mulhouse, Bristol, Geneva, Lille, Lisbon, Liverpool, London (Luton and Gatwick), Lyon, Milan Malpensa, Nice and some new destinations starting this spring: Amsterdam, Belfast, Brussels and Marrakesh.
Airport Director Pascal Personne declared: “This is a resounding endorsement for Bordeaux Airport and especially for its billi low-cost terminal. Of course, it is also a well-earned accolade for Aviapartner, easyjet’s airport handling company in Bordeaux, rewarding the efforts made by everyone at the service of our passengers.”
