Chopin Airport handled more than 637,000 passengers in February 2013, a 9.1% increase year-on-year.
“Without a doubt, this great result was largely thanks to Ryanair and Wizz Air’s decision to transfer all their flights back to Chopin Airport due to maintenance work at Modlin Airport,” said Radosław Żuk, director of Chopin Airport PR Bureau.
Chopin Airport has served 1.31 million passengers since the beginning of 2013, 10% more than in the corresponding period of 2012.
The number of aircraft movements rose by 2.8% in the first two months of 2013, reaching 18,300.
