As it prepares to tackle the challenges of its rapid development over the next decade, Dubai Airports has announced the appointment of two Emiratis to executive positions in airport operations.

Ali Angizeh, who previously was Head of Terminal 3, has been appointed Vice President Cargo and Logistics while Omar Binadai, previously Head of Facility Management, has been appointed Vice President, Engineering Performance.

“To realise our vision of being the world’s leading airport company we have to invest in our people and build our leadership from within our organisation. Both Ali and Omar bring considerable experience in their respective fields and their leadership will be vital in dealing with the challenges of managing the growth projected at Dubai International and Dubai World Central,” said Chris Garton, SVP Operations at Dubai Airports.

Angizeh has extensive experience of air cargo operations having started his career with dnata Air Cargo in1999. He later joined Emirates Skycargo where he was responsible for launching the airline’s cargo stations in Seychelles and Accra before joining the then Dubai Civil Aviation’s safety department as a Dangerous Goods Manager. He quickly progressed through the ranks becoming terminal duty manager and most recently Head as Terminal 3.

Binadai has been with Dubai Airports for almost two decades, starting his career as an airfield engineer before taking up several senior roles within Engineering Services, including General Manager of Airport Systems.

“The appointments are part of Dubai Airports’ commitment to continuously identify and groom UAE national candidates for senior positions within the organisation and we wish them well in their new roles,” said Meshari al Bannai, VP Human Resources.
