The Government has today (December 3, 2012) confirmed its decision to separate Shannon Airport from the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) and place it in a new State-owned entity.

The Government has indicated that it plans to separate Shannon Airport from DAA on December 31 by transferring the business to the Shannon Airport Authority (SAA).

In accordance with its legislative mandate, DAA will continue to work with the Government to implement the shareholder’s decision in relation to Shannon Airport.
