The board of Avinor AS has appointed Dag Falk-Petersen (56) as CEO. Falk-Petersen comes to Avinor from the position as CEO of CHC Helikopter Service AS.

The board of Avinor AS has appointed Dag Falk-Petersen (56) as CEO. Falk-Petersen comes to Avinor from the position as CEO of CHC Helikopter Service AS.

Falk-Petersen has occupied several managerial positions in Norwegian aviation and the armed forces. As operative director of SAS Norway he was responsible for operations and aircraft safety, amongst other things. Falk-PeNew Imagetersen was educated as a fighter pilot in the USA and at the Royal Norwegian Air Force Academy.

CHC Helikopter Service is a part of one of the world’s largest helicopter services companies, CHC Helicopter, and is with a fleet of 31 helicopters the largest helicopter operator on the Norwegian continental shelf.

“In Dag Falk-Petersen Avinor has acquired a CEO with considerable managerial experience and good knowledge of aviation. Avinor is faced with major operative and structural challenges and opportunities. The board is very satisfied that Avinor has found a CEO with both sound strategic expertise and practical experience,” states the Avinor board of directors.

“Avinor is responsible for both safety and infrastructure in the aviation sector. To me who has been a part of aviation for my entire career, this is a unique opportunity to influence the two issues that are closest to my heart.
