EC Harris, the international Built Asset Consultancy, has appointed Paul Willis as the new Head of its Aviation Sector team.
Paul has over 20 years experience in the industry, initially working for the National Air Traffic Service, and most recently running his own firm, Aviation Solutions, specialising in traffic modelling, forecasting and business planning. Paul established Aviation Solutions in 2005 and achieved rapid success internationally, the new Athens and Lisbon airports being two major airport projects that he was involved in from their early planning stages. He has also provided operational management and strategic planning for special sporting events including the Olympic Games and UEFA Champions League as well as operational readiness and training for the opening of Larnaca International Airport.
At EC Harris Paul will be responsible for growing the firm’s aviation business in the UK and internationally, through developing its built asset consultancy offering for aviation. This will initially focus on opportunities relating to traffic forecasting, transaction advice, capacity planning, airport master planning, business planning and operational readiness. Some of EC Harris’ current aviation clients include BAA, Eithad Airways, US Airways, Gatwick Airport and Dubai Civil Aviation.
Commenting on the appointment, Mark Prior, Head of Transportation at EC Harris said: “Paul is an industry renowned expert in aviation and will really strengthen our offering to this industry. There are some excellent opportunities for us to grow our business within aviation, and we look forward to Paul and his key team from Aviation Solutions using their expertise and excellent contacts to enable us to make significant inroads into this market.”
