Air Navigation Service Providers of Norway and Denmark have renewed their service agreements with ARINC Inc…
The state-owned Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) of Norway and Denmark have renewed their service agreements with ARINC Incorporated for the delivery of essential Data Link Air Traffic Control (ATC) Applications.
Both Oslo Lufthavn AS of Norway, and Naviair of Denmark are currently upgrading their data link communications systems, and chose this opportunity to renew Communication Service Provider (CSP) agreements.
ARINC has provided Oslo Lufthavn AS with data link delivery of D-ATIS for almost ten years and is planning to add Departure Clearance (DCL) service in the near future.
ARINC currently provides Naviair of Denmark with data link delivery of both D-ATIS and Departure Clearance, in a relationship that has spanned eleven years.
Data link communications offers higher accuracy, reliability, and convenience than conventional voice radio communications, and the demand for these data link applications is increasing worldwide from both airspace users and ANSPs.
“ARINC has long supported the aviation industry with reliable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions to make ATC applications over data link a reality,” stated Andy Wood, ARINC EMEA Program Director. “We are delighted to receive this renewal from two long-time customers, as we believe it reflects both the quality of our service and our commitment to the highest standards of performance.”
