CANSO, the global voice of Air Traffic Management, has praised European Air Traffic Control organisations for their “swift, sensible and safe” approach to opening up European airspace, and stressed that the level of cooperation between different aviation sectors is “unprecedented”.
CANSO Director General Graham Lake said:
“I want to congratulate Air Traffic Control organisations for their swift, sensible and safe response to the need to open up as much airspace as possible, while still ensuring flight safety. European airspace is the busiest and most complex in the world and we are seeing an unprecedented degree of cooperation between the various aviation companies to get airplanes moving.”
