International traffic up by more than 5 percent

A total of more than 4,251,363 passengers travelled through one of Avinor’s airports in October. This is an increase of 2.8 percent compared to the same month last year. International traffic had the strongest growth at 5.4 percent.
Domestic traffic increased 1.3 percent compared to last October.
The number of aircraft movements increased by 4.5 percent in October.
At Avinor’s largest airport, Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, passenger numbers increased by 3.1 percent in October.
Among the major airports, growth was greatest at Stavanger Airport, Sola. Passenger figures there increased by 3.9 percent. Trondheim Airport, Værnes followed with growth of 2.4 percent, while Bergen Airport, Flesland, saw growth of 1.7 percent.
The national airports – Bodø, Tromsø, Kristiansand and Ålesund – had an average growth of 1 percent. Among these airports, growth was greatest at Kristiansand Airport, Kjevik, with 4 percent.
At the regional airports growth averaged 5.1 percent, and at local airports growth was 2.4 percent.
So far this year 39,293,246 passengers have travelled through Avinor’s airports.
