The published statistics for August 2012 continue to show the slow growth of world trade.
Tons of freight transported through Liege Airport have dropped by 18 % from August 2012 compared to August 2011, with 41,996 tons of freight (instead of 51,512 tons in August 2011).
According to IATA, air cargo traffic, reflecting the global economy, will remain difficult during the second half of 2012, as the rising cost of fuel is added to the uncertain global economic outlook.
