The multi-million dollar deal forms part of the $1.8bn south terminal development plan at Orlando International and will include a flexible gate configuration to allow for narrow body, jumbo and super jumbo aircrafts.
Further works will include taxiways, aprons, landscaping, lighting, roadways, walkways, aircraft loading bridges, concessions and security ameliorations.
In a statement, PCL Construction Services Orlando district manager Rick Goldman said:
“We are thrilled to play a leading role in bringing together local and diverse businesses in the construction of Orlando International Airport’s new terminal.
“As part of the nation’s ninth busiest airport for passenger travel, this project will provide a seamless departure and arrival experience for millions of travellers each year.”
PCL are no stranger to work at Orlando International; the project will become their 12th deal with the US airport.
The work will begin later this month with an anticipated completion of October 2019.
