At Future Travel Experience, we caught up with Ian Law, Chief Digital Transformation Officer at Los Angeles World Airports to discuss their digital transofmration journey, the largest deployment of biometric boarding gates in the U.S. which is taking place at LAX, what Ian refers to as “innovation orchestration”, and his technology wishlist which includes artificial intelligence (AI) and video AI.
Ian also shared his vision for the future of the digital passenger experience at LAX: “I think that passengers will come to LAX and come TO it rather than go THROUGH it, and the digital experience will make the coming to experience more valuable than the going through experience. But we think there is a lot more that an airport can offer in terms of an experience.”
