Chris Crist

Chris Crist is Chief Information Officer for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), the world’s busiest airport. He leads enterprise technology, cyber-security, data platforms, engineering and digital innovation supporting more than 300,000 daily passenger connections across one of the world’s most complex transportation environments.

Since joining ATL, Chris has led major technology modernisation initiatives focused on cyber-security, operational resilience, data, artificial intelligence (AI) and passenger experience. His team has implemented biometric passenger processing solutions, expanded enterprise data capabilities, and deployed AI-enabled technologies that enhance operational awareness and decision-making across the airport.

Chris co-founded the Airports AI Alliance with the Cities Today Institute and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Airport Management. He holds a Doctor of Education from Vanderbilt University and is the recipient of the Georgia CIO of the Year ORBIE Award.
